Ranged DPS (Dexterity)Light armorMedium

Dexterity is your damage. Stack DEX for arrow power, keep distance, and pick off two-handers and unshielded targets before they close.

Attribute Spread
STR 100
CON 175
DEX 275

DEX is "your most important attribute by far — it directly affects how powerful your arrow shots are." Don't dump Strength to 80: light armor won't save you from slashing, so STR 100 buys stamina and slash protection.

Armor Approach

Run 6 light pieces for maximum agility and stamina, or swap to 4 light + 2 medium if you keep getting caught in melee. A 2H sword is the preferred sidearm over a dagger "if you actually want to kill someone."

Passive Perks

Focused on headshot damage and armor penetration.

Playstyle

Kite and pick targets; stay out of melee range. Headshots scale with DEX — aim for the head.

FAQ

What attribute matters most for an archer?
Dexterity, by a wide margin — it directly scales arrow damage. The reference spread is STR 100 / CON 175 / DEX 275.
Why not leave Strength at the minimum?
Light armor barely protects against slashing attacks, so keeping STR around 100 buys you stamina and slash resistance to survive a stray melee hit.
What's the archer's biggest weakness?
Shields. Most tanks can simply hold up a shield to stop your arrows, so bows shine against two-handed and unshielded players, not shield-walls.
Stat numbers are pre-relaunch (Feb-2023 reference guides) — the archetype logic holds, but re-verify exact figures and passive levels vs V1.5.0 and the build calculator.
