Resources & Gathering

66 resources, components and materials — the raw stock behind every craft.

Gloria Victis runs on a player-driven economy: almost every weapon, armour piece and tool starts as a raw resource pulled from the world, then refined into components and finally crafted into gear. Because resource spots are tied to territory, gathering is a nation effort — hold the land and all your countrymen can collect what they need. The 66 entries below cover the full gathering and refining chain.

Resource Types

Entries fall into three types. Resources are raw inputs you gather — ore, fuel, hides, plants. Components are refined intermediates such as ingots, steel rings and leather straps. Materials are base crafting stock. The gathering-to-gear path runs: ore + fuel → smelted lumps and ingots → forged components → finished armour and weapons.

Resources FAQ

How many resources are in Gloria Victis?
This database lists 66 resources, components and materials — the raw stock behind every craft. Filter by type to separate raw resources from refined components.
What is the difference between a resource, a component and a material?
A resource is a raw input you gather (ore, hides, wood). A component is a refined intermediate (ingots, rings, straps) made from resources. A material is a base crafting stock. The type column tags each one.
How do I gather resources?
Gathering professions pull raw resources from the world — Mining & Metallurgy for ore and metal, Forestry & Farming for wood and crops, Herbalism & Alchemy for plants. Resource spots are shared by the whole nation, so capturing land lets all your countrymen gather what they need.
Why is the source blank for some resources?
The underlying wiki data has no source line for a number of entries. Where a source exists it shows the drop, loot or purchase origin; where it is blank, the resource is typically gathered or refined rather than dropped.
What turns ore into usable bars?
Smelting and refining under Mining & Metallurgy turn ore (limonite, pyrite) plus fuel (coal, charcoal) into lumps and ingots, which Armoursmithing then forges into components like steel rings and finished armour.
