Crafting Overview
Gloria Victis runs on a player economy — almost everything is crafted. Start with a profession.
Crafting is the backbone of Stoneholm. Vendors do not stock the good gear — players make it. The loop is simple to state and deep to master: choose one of the 7 professions, learn a recipe from a scroll, gather the raw resources (resource spots are tied to the land your nation holds), then forge the item at a workshop. The four spokes below break the system into databases you can search.
The Crafting Loop
1. Profession — pick a trade to gather or make. 2. Recipe — buy and learn the scroll from a trainer. 3. Resources — mine, harvest or refine the materials it needs. 4. Workshop — craft the output, gaining profession XP that unlocks higher tiers.

Crafting FAQ
How does crafting work in Gloria Victis?
Crafting is a four-step loop: pick a profession, learn a recipe from a scroll, gather the resources, then build the item at a workshop. There are 7 professions, 76 recipes and 66 resources feeding the whole system.
How many crafting professions are there?
Seven: Mining & Metallurgy, Armoursmithing, Tailoring & Leatherworking, Forestry & Farming, Herbalism & Alchemy, Engineering, and Cooking & Herbalism. See the Professions page for what each makes.
Why is crafting so important?
Gloria Victis runs on a player economy — almost every weapon and armour piece is crafted, not bought from vendors. Gear, siege equipment and consumables all trace back to player professions, which makes gatherers and crafters central to a nation's war effort.
Where do I start as a new crafter?
Start with a gathering profession (Mining or Forestry) to feed yourself materials, or a maker profession (Armoursmithing, Tailoring) to turn materials into gear. Learn your first recipe scroll, gather its resources, and craft.
