A hybrid, not a distinct attribute spread: take the Dexterity archer build and put it on a tamed horse. Strike from the saddle, retreat, loop back — and hunt enemy mounts.
Attribute Spread
Attributes are the archer's (DEX-heavy: STR 100 / CON 175 / DEX 275). The "build" half lives on the horse — you want a high-Agility / high-Dynamics mount. Mounted combat also grants a mount-XP boost (see the Horses guide).

Armor Approach
Light armor, same as the archer, to keep mount agility and your own stamina high. The hybrid's job, per the player who popularized it, is to "kill enemy mounts (all of them)" while staying mobile.

Is cavalry-archer its own class?
No — Gloria Victis has no classes, and this isn't even a distinct stat spread. It's the Dexterity archer build combined with a tamed, high-agility horse.
What horse do I want?

What's the role in a fight?
A mobile skirmisher and mount-hunter. The popularized playstyle is an all-rounder that focuses on killing enemy mounts while kiting on horseback.
